WestJet Celebrates Its Twelfth Birthday With $12 Sale on Eastern Triangle Flights

Airline offers one-way $12 fares for guests travelling between Toronto
and Montreal or Toronto and Ottawa

CALGARY, Feb. 28 /CNW/ - In celebration of its twelfth birthday, WestJet
(TSX:WJA) today announced a one-day $12 birthday sale within the Eastern
triangle. Guests travelling between Toronto and Montreal or Ottawa (both
directions), can take advantage of the $12 fares by booking on February 28 for
travel between March 1 and June 25, 2008. "WestJet is 12 years old tomorrow
and we are excited to celebrate with a birthday inspired sale," said Bob
Cummings, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Guest Experience and Marketing.
"We estimate that WestJet now has over 20 per cent of the Eastern triangle
market share and believe this is a result of our enhanced network and
exceptional guest experience delivered every day by our great WestJetters. "We
like to encourage potential guests to try us and as a result, over 90 per cent
of new guests come back and recommend us to their family, friends and
associates. Our guests' recommendations are one of our most potent marketing
channels. "After 12 years, demand for WestJet service is more popular than
ever. This positions us well for the remainder of 2008 as we grow our fleet
from 73 Next-Generation Boeing 737 aircraft to 77 by year end." WestJet will
also offer guests one-day sale fares as low as $39 on other routes. Following
are the details of WestJet's one-day twelfth birthday sale.
