Inaugural flight marks start of trial service from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport

CALGARY, Sept. 9, 2011 /CNW/ - WestJet today launches its twice-weekly service from Hamilton to Las Vegas for an 11-week trial period. The inaugural flight leaves at 6 p.m. EDT today from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

"As we said when we announced the service back in July, this is something new for us," said John MacLeod, WestJet Vice-President, Network Management and Alliances. "We had a window of additional flying time and we wanted to offer Hamiltonians this additional service to thank them for their loyalty as well as to test the feasibility of service from Hamilton to Las Vegas. We hope our guests will take full advantage of this opportunity to demonstrate that it's a viable option for WestJet to consider as our fleet grows in the years to come."

Service from Hamilton to Las Vegas will operate Mondays and Fridays from September 9 to November 28, 2011. One-way fares for this service are available from $159 plus applicable taxes and fees.
