WestJet is Canada's most preferred airline ̶ again

CALGARY, May 10, 2013 /CNW/ - WestJet today announced it has once again been named Canada's most-preferred airline in a national study of Canadian flyers conducted in April of this year by Leger Marketing. The study also rated WestJet as the most trusted airline and the airline that offers the best customer service.

In a separate study also conducted by Leger Marketing, WestJet is also ranked as the most reputable transportation company in Canada. Leger's Canadian Corporate Reputation Study ranked the airline tops among six airlines, rail and bus companies.

Last week, WestJet was named Canada's most attractive employer for the second year in a row. The award is given by Randstad Canada, a staffing, recruitment and HR company. Also last week, WestJet ranked second in overall reputation in the Reputation Institute/Canadian Business 2013 Most Reputable Companies in Canada survey, second only to Tim Horton's and ahead of companies like Kraft Food, IBM and even Apple. WestJet was also the highest-ranked Canadian company in the survey for corporate governance and workplace.

"To be nationally recognized not once but four times in about a week is truly humbling," said Gregg Saretsky, WestJet President and CEO. "These accolades are a testament to our caring culture, which is driven by our more than 9,000 engaged and spirited WestJetters. As we grow and evolve our network and products to meet the changing needs of our guests, we remain focused on caring service and delivering a great guest experience. These are the things that make us different, and the proud Canadian company we are today."
