Airline reports record October traffic
CALGARY, Nov. 3, 2015 /CNW/ - November 3, 2015. WestJet today announced October 2015 traffic results with a load factor of 77.1 per cent. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs), or traffic, increased 0.3 per cent year over year, and capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), grew 0.7 per cent over the same period. The airline flew 1.6 million guests in October, approximately flat with the prior year.
"We are pleased to report record traffic for the month of October," said WestJet President and CEO Gregg Saretsky. "I want to thank all of our 11,000 WestJetters for their continued dedication and hard work as we transition from our shoulder period into our busy winter season."
