CALGARY, March 28, 2019 /CNW/ - Sarah Walker, Vice President, Controller and Supply Chain and Harry Taylor, Executive Vice-President Finance and CFO will hold a conference call to discuss WestJet's accounting policy changes under IFRS 16 leases and the related accounting impacts as well as answer questions about this accounting standard change.

On January 1st, 2019, WestJet adopted the International Financial Reporting Standard 16 – Leases (IFRS 16 – Leases).  WestJet's First Quarter 2019 unaudited Condensed Consolidated Financial Statements and Notes and its first quarter 2019 Management's Discussion and Analysis of Results of Operations and Financial Condition, which will be filed on SEDAR at sedar.com and posted on WestJet's website at westjet.com on May 7, 2019, will include restated 2018 figures and a discussion of the changes under this new accounting standard.
