CALGARY, Jan. 10 /CNW/ - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today commented on the
decision handed down by the Canadian Transportation Agency regarding the
one-passenger-one-fare application.
The decision mandates that Canadian air carriers operating a domestic air
service provide free seating for certain persons with disabilities. Those who
require an attendant or an extra seat to accommodate a disability are to be
entitled to the additional seat without charge.
WestJet remains committed to providing excellent service to all their
guests, including guests with disabilities. The scope of this decision is long
and complex. Once WestJet has had an opportunity to fully review and evaluate
the decision, they will comment further.
