Airline offers one-way $20.08 fare for guests travelling between Toronto
and Montreal or Ottawa

CALGARY, Jan. 7 /CNW/ - In celebration of the New Year, WestJet (TSX:WJA)
today announced a two-day $20.08 New Year's airfare sale for guests travelling
within the eastern triangle. Guests travelling between Toronto and Montreal or
Ottawa, can take advantage of the $20.08 fare by booking on January 7 and
January 8, 2008 for travel until March 5, 2008.
"We are excited to ring in the New Year with one of our fun, ever-popular
sales," said Bob Cummings, WestJet's Executive Vice-President of Guest
Experience and Marketing. "Compared to 2006, in 2007 we saw an increase of
30 per cent in the number of guests flying the eastern triangle. We estimate
we now have over 20 per cent of the eastern triangle market share. This is due
in large part to our exceptional guest experience delivered by our great
WestJetters.
"As we enter our twelfth year, we look forward to continuing our terrific
service and our fun, low-fare sales that celebrate our WestJet culture. These
sales encourage people who have not yet flown with WestJet to give us a try.
As a result, over 90 per cent of new guests become repeat guests and recommend

WestJet will also offer guests $49 sale fares for travel until March 5,
2008, between Ottawa and Toronto and Montreal and Toronto, allowing guests
another opportunity to book low-fare flights.
