WestJet Announces aiRES Contract Amendment Extension

CALGARY, April 20 /CNW/ - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today announced that WestJet
and Travelport have agreed to extend the period for aiRES contract amendment
negotiations to July 31, 2007. On January 10, 2007, WestJet had announced an
agreement with Travelport to suspend the current aiRES contract in order to
negotiate an amendment to this contract by May 31, 2007.

WestJet commented, "We have made progress in our discussions with Travelport.
This extension reflects the commitment by WestJet and Travelport to work
towards an amended contract.
