WestJet Welcomes John Hamilton as Vice President, WestJet Vacations

CALGARY, Nov. 29 /CNW/ - WestJet (TSX:WJA) is pleased to announce the
appointment of John Hamilton as Vice President, WestJet Vacations.
"John joined WestJet this week and brings with him significant experience
in the wholesale travel business in Canada and the United Kingdom", commented
Dr. Hugh Dunleavy, Executive Vice President, Commercial Distribution for
WestJet. "He has experience in operations, marketing and sales with some of
the biggest operators in the country which brings terrific expertise to
WestJet Vacations."
John began his career in the wholesale industry in the United Kingdom and
came to Canada in 1984 with Trafalgar Tours. John held positions in
operations, sales and marketing with Trafalgar before moving to Fun Sun in
1992 as Director of Sales and Marketing. In 1995 he returned to Toronto as
Vice President for Travel Corp. Most recently, he ran BCAA Travel and was
instrumental in the launch of CANescapes as well as the purchase of Pacific
Sunspots.
