CALGARY, April 29 /CNW/ - WestJet and WestJet Vacations today announced that it is offering discounts to alternate sun destinations for guests who have been affected by the temporary cessation of flights to and from Mexico. The airline is also adding additional flights to get Canadians home.

"We have put in place a fair and flexible approach that is in line with our values and gives our guests a helping hand. We are committed to doing the right thing. We realize the inconvenience and, in some cases, additional costs Canadians incurred for having to rebook their vacation. This is why we have put together a special offer for all Canadians who wish to continue to travel to a sun destination," said Bob Cummings, WestJet's Executive Vice-President, Guest Experience and Marketing. "With our flights to Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Florida, Phoenix, Las Vegas, California and Hawaii, we offer excellent alternatives."
