CALGARY, May 12 /CNW/ - With the temporary suspension of flights to Mexico due to the H1N1 virus, WestJet today announced additions to other sun destinations from Calgary.

"Part of our success comes from our ability to cost-effectively deploy our fleet," said Chris Avery, WestJet Vice-President of Revenue and Planning. "With extra aircraft time available due to the temporary suspension of service to Mexico, we saw an opportunity to provide Calgarians with more flights to some great cities. Throw in some terrific low fares and you have a great deal on a spring getaway."

For the first two weeks in June, WestJet will be offering the following additional flights.

WestJet introduces non-stop service from Calgary to San Diego on June 1, 2009, and from Calgary to San Francisco on June 2, 2009.
