Airline makes inaugural flight between Edmonton and Maui today

CALGARY, March 5 /CNW/ - WestJet today announced the launch of new non-stop service between Edmonton and Kahului, Maui. The inaugural flight departs the Edmonton International Airport at 7:30 a.m. MST today.

"It is with great pleasure that WestJet can offer non-stop flights from Edmonton to the Hawaiian island of Maui to our guests over the next few months," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President of Strategy and Planning. WestJet will fly between Edmonton and Maui once weekly until April 30, 2010.

As part of its 2010 summer schedule, WestJet will fly non-stop from Edmonton to San Francisco with one-way fares starting at $99, plus applicable fees and taxes. WestJet is also expanding its seasonal service from Edmonton to Cancun to include year-round service with one-way fares starting at $264, plus applicable fees and taxes.
