Airline founder recognized for his contributions to profession and
community

CALGARY, Nov. 13 /CNW/ - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today congratulated founder
and Executive Chairman, Clive Beddoe, for the honorary degree he received this
week from the University of Calgary. Mr. Beddoe received the honorary
doctorate of laws degree for his commitment to his profession and to his
community.
"I'm deeply honoured to receive this degree," said Mr. Beddoe. "There are
so many people at WestJet who do an amazing job - their commitment to
providing great service has made WestJet the success it is. They deserve this
recognition just as much as I do."
WestJet President and CEO Sean Durfy commented, "Clive has been a great
friend and mentor, and I consider myself privileged to know and work with him.
He has provided me with wonderful insight about the passion to serve and to
succeed that is inherent in what we do at WestJet. His guidance for all of us
