Airline provides more Albertans with service to Hawaii's most popular islands - and no "lei-overs"
CALGARY, Feb. 12 /CNW/ - WestJet today launches the return of non-stop service from Calgary to Maui and Honolulu. The inaugural flight makes its first departure from Calgary International Airport at 7:30 a.m. MST today.
The aircraft, a Boeing 757-200 leased from North American Airlines, offers additional capacity and more access to the only daytime scheduled non-stop flights between Alberta and the popular Hawaiian islands.
"Following a very successful launch of these routes last winter, we have made more seats available this year through the lease of a larger aircraft, demonstrating once again that WestJet continues to find new and innovative ways to bring low fares and high value to more guests than ever before," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Planning."
WestJet will fly between Calgary and Maui three times weekly and between Calgary and Honolulu weekly. Following are the schedule details of WestJet's service from February 12, 2011, to April 30, 2011:
