Airline brings bigger aircraft, more seats and no "lei-overs" to Edmonton's service to the sun

CALGARY, Feb. 13 /CNW/ - WestJet today launches the return of direct non-stop service between Edmonton and Maui. The inaugural flight makes its first departure from Edmonton International Airport at 9:15 a.m. MST today.

The aircraft, a Boeing 757-200 leased from North American Airlines, offers additional capacity providing Albertans with more access to the only daytime scheduled non-stop flights in both directions.

"We're excited to return this service to Edmonton," said Hugh Dunleavy, WestJet Executive Vice-President, Strategy and Planning. "Leasing a larger aircraft this year allows us to offer more seats to Maui than ever before. It also demonstrates that WestJet continues to find new and innovative ways to bring low fares and high value to our valued guests."

WestJet will fly between Edmonton and Maui two times per week. Following are the schedule details of WestJet's service from February 13, 2011 to April 30, 2011:
