All proceeds from charity event go to Ronald McDonald House

CALGARY, May 11, 2012 /CNW/ - WestJet will host its first street hockey charity invitational TODAY from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Calgary campus, 22 Aerial Place NE.

Launched shortly after WestJet moved into its new campus, the WestJet Street Hockey League features 10 teams and plays daily on the road between the WestJet office and hangar buildings. Today, WestJetters, celebrities and media personalities will face off against a WestJet team to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.

Money will be raised through the sale of Spolumbo's sandwiches, Coke and raffle tickets. Molson's will also offer coupons for its new Coors Light Iced T product on site.

Media outlets scheduled to play in the media game include CTV, Global, Calgary Sun, Sportsnet 960 The Fan and QR77. Players and staff of the Calgary Stampeders, including members of the Outriders, will also take part.
