CALGARY, Feb. 11, 2013 /CNW/ - WestJet today announced the launch of new non-stop daily service between Nanaimo, British Columbia (YCD) and Calgary. The service will be operated by WestJet Encore's fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.

Media are invited to speak with representatives of the City of Nanaimo, the Nanaimo Airport and WestJet at a media availability today in Nanaimo.

Media note: During the media availability, a second group of approximately 30 WestJetters will attend various Family Day community events at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.
